I just finished reading my very old and musty copy of Iris Murdoch's The Sandcastle for the billionth time. I've always loved the cover, so I've tracked down some other covers done by the same illustrator. I don't know much about him other than that his name is Terence Greer and he seems to have worked for Penguin for a number of years in the 1960s. His style is pretty awesome though. I'll be keeping an eye out for more of his covers in second-hand bookshops in the future.
